The City Sample is a free downloadable sample project that reveals how the city scene from The Matrix Awakens: An Unreal Engine 5 Experience was built. It consists of a city, complete with buildings, vehicles, and crowds of MetaHuman characters. The project demonstrates how we used new and improved systems in Unreal Engine 5—including World Partition, Nanite, Lumen, Chaos, Rule Processor, Mass AI, Niagara, MetaHumans, MetaSounds, and Temporal Super Resolution—to create the experience.
In case you missed it. City Sample executable hasn't been released by Epic as a standalone but a developer called Victor Careil seems to have packaged it and I was able to download from Mega.io. This video is just me fiddling with the demo and showcasing how it runs on my PC. I’m considering doing like a weekly PC gameplay video, older titles, newer titles, extremely demanding titles - maybe even with some commentary? Something “light” in addition to the comparisons.
I’m actually able to swap out the RTX3090 for a RTX3090 Ti , so that is also something that will happen somewhere next week I think.
